Our Values Guide Our Journey
IWS Mendez, Tagaytay
May 26-27, 2011
As IPDI continues its journey towards development and pastoral cooperation, our values serve as our compass.
With hearts and minds united, IPDI underwent a 2-day values scan as part of its commitment to promote the development of it human resources. The activity, which was held on May 26-27 at the IWS in Mendez, Tagaytay, was participated in by IPDI Board Member Gary Granada, the staff from both Manila and Davao Offices, and facilitated by Fr. Ben Moraleda and Jopay Callejo.
‘We want IPDI be more value based and effective in fulfilling its mission and vision, and so, everyone of us must reflect on our own values and examine if these are in line with the values which the organization carry’, Bembet Madrid said in her opening statement.
The two-day activity, which included lectures, individual reflections, group sharing and activities, served as a venue for the personnel of IPDI to assess the level of their personal development as well as identify their personal core values using Clinebells Seven Dimensions of Life as a framework.
IPDI South Team Leader Ervin More believes that going through an in-depth individual and group reflection is a very effective way of synergizing the staff’s individual values with that of the organization’s.
After identifying personal core value and matching these with that of the organizations’, IPDI collectively came up with five core values: DIGNITY AND VALUE OF HUMAN PERSON AND CREATION, PARTICIPATION AND EMPOWERMENT, IDENTITY AND AUTONOMY, PROFESSIONALISM, INNOVATION AND CREATIVITY. |
