ACCOMPANIMENT AND CONSULTANCY SERVICES

The ACS has been  conceptualized  to  provide consultancy  and technical assistance  (TA) services  to  partner  organizations  of DKA, KfB, MM, MISSIO  Germany and Fastenopfer/SCLF.   Services will include onsite technical assistance, monitoring services, evaluation, pre-funding appraisal, and country programme development and accompaniment.  

Onsite consultancies are engagements in the form  of  assisting  and  coaching  the project partners in the  areas  of  planning,  systems review and installation (monitoring and evaluation and finance systems), promoting and mainstreaming of household development approach in project implementation, SA and SF technology transfer, gender mainstreaming and provision of data and information related to the network of donors, their policies and other relevant information anent developing partnership. 

The Technical Assistance services aims to contribute to more effective and efficient   management   of  programs and services by partner  organizations .  Through  the Technical Assistance (TA)  services,   IPDI  aims  to  enable  partner  organizations  to apply results-focused approaches and tools in project design and management . It is  the aim of TA  to  equip  partner  organizations  with   concepts  and  tools  in  organizational  strengthening.

  • Planning  Assistance  :
    • Facilitating  Project Designing  Workshops ;
    • Facilitating  Strategic Planning  Workshops
    • Facilitating  Project Proposal Write-shops;
  • M&E  Assistance : 
    • Assisting partners in designing and  installing  their M&E  Plans
    • Assisting  partners  in  designing their internal evaluation  process
  • Finance  Assistance:
    • Conducting Finance  system  audit
    • Assisting partners in Installation of Financial System
    • Assistance in reviewing job description of finance personnel
    • Assistance in  financial  audit  preparation
  • Organizational Development Assistance
    • Assisting partners in organizational assessments (OA)  using IDOS/IOM tools
    • Assisting partners  in  designing OD and  HRD  plans
  • Mainstreaming Household Development Approach (HHDA)  

Promoting and mainstreaming household development approach will involve orienting the partners on the principles, tools and processes  during the actual application of the technology. 

  • Sustainable Agriculture (SA)  and  Sustainable Fishery (SF)  Technology Transfer    

IPDI  will extend  technical  assistance  to  partners   who wish to mainstream  SA/SF into their  project designs.   IPDI’s technical  assistance  will  aim  towards mainstreaming  SA/SF  practices that are socially-equitable, culturally-appropriate and environmentally-sustainable;  
 

IPDI Support Services to Funding Agencies:

  1. Monitoring  Assistance for FAs . Monitoring aims to identify and assess potential problems and obstacles during project implementation.  Monitoring is done through project site visits.

  1. Evaluations. Midterm and  final evaluations  will be  carried  out  upon the  request of the FA’s.  
  1. Pre-funding  appraisals  for FAs.   Pre-funding appraisals of new  project applications  are also  done  upon  the request  of  the funding  agencies.
