Preparations Underway for the First DKA Philippine Partners Meeting on October

Preparations are underway for the first DKA/KfB Partners Meeting for all Philippines partner organizations. The meeting will take place from the evening of the 11 to 13 October 2012 in Charles Borromeo Seminar House in Davao City.

The Partner Meeting will be a consultation workshop and networking opportunity. Consultation, because as funding agencies working in the Philippines since many years, DKA and KfB need to step back and identify the challenges the partner organizations are facing in order to improve the quality and coordination of the partnership. The insights, competence, experience and personal engagement of the partners will therefore be the focal point of the meeting. The Partners Meeting is also an integral part of the  Country Strategy Process of DKA in determining the thematic directions to be taken.

The meeting will also be a networking venue, since it will provide an open space for around 50 project partners to meet, exchange ideas, approaches, strategies and contacts. It is the first time that all DKA/KfB partners from Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao will be gathered in one meeting. It is the hope of DKA and KfB that by bringing together groups from different parts of the country, we can help partners to exchange ideas, identify challenges and synergies and find allies in other parts of the country.
