Bishop Pabillo Speaks at the IPDI Third General Assembly

The Third General Assembly of IPDI was held last April 19, 2010 at the Lebanon Shelter, Sisters of the Divine Savior Convent, 45 7th Street New Manila, Quezon.  With the theme “Effective Partnerships to Enable, Entitle, and Empower the Grassroots” the whole-day event was graced by Bishop Broderick Pabilio, who gave an inspirational talk by way of explaining and contextualizing Pope Benedict XVI’s  third encyclical ”Caritas In Veritate”.

The event was also attended by Ms. Stephanie Schueller of MISSIO Germany.  She, as well as the other FA partners of IPDI, gave their message of solidarity and support for IPDI.

Dealing with organizational matters in the afternoon session, the assembly elected Ms Del Albotra as member of the IPDI Board of Trustees.  Earlier, Ms. Albotra and Ms. She Andes were inducted as members of IPDI.  Later, the Board of Trustees, together with the assembly, also confirmed Ms. Bembet Madrid’s position as Executive Director of IPDI.  The proposed budget of the organization was also tackled and approved in the assembly as the Board deemed it fit under the circumstances to do as the Assembly was anyway in session.
